The members of Sacred Paths were asked to state why they had joined the Community. The variety of responses was most interesting and, we believe, provides considerable insight into who we are. Here are some of those responses:

Jeffrey Brown: “I enjoy both the consistency and the diversity of experiencing social time, silence, prayer, education, inspiration and being uplifted every single Sunday. It is also meaningful to me that Sacred Paths Community is so 'gay friendly'.” |
Natalie Joy Kaye: “Sacred Paths Community appeals to me because it embraces all religions, all sacred traditions and all people. It is meaningful to me to be part of a Community that recognizes the unity of all life and that encourages each of us to contribute our gifts, talents and skills to build a beloved community and a more peaceful world.” |

Cornelia Keener: “I am drawn to Sacred Paths especially because the Community honors the spiritual paths of all people, regardless of their religious beliefs (we even have skeptics and agnostics who walk with us). That the interconnectedness of all people and all things is affirmed by the Community leads to conversations that are especially rich and diverse.” |
Bev LaRue: “I experience Sacred Paths as a community of people who are compassionate and service oriented. Each week, I am inspired by our spiritual director to continue on my path of spiritual growth.” |

Karen L. McGlynn: “Sacred Paths Community provides our family with consistent love, support and acceptance in such a way that we can then continue to share those attributes with the greater world community.” |
Richard McLaughlin: “I feel that Sacred Paths is onto something very special, and it is meaningful to me to be a part of a Community that is actively moving forward in its spiritual development. The Sunday Gatherings give everyone the chance to ask for and get their needs met through prayer requests, song, sharing or social time. The Spiritual Director, Stephen Heilakka, inspires love and is spiritually gifted. His gentle guidance moves me in ways that I have never experienced before.” |
